Refunds
Short version: try the real thing free first, and if a purchase goes wrong, we'll be fair about it. Longer version below, including the rights you have automatically that this policy can't touch.
Try it properly before you buy
The free tier is the actual app — the same engine, the same export, no watermark, no time limit, and a large part of the library to work with: whole FX families, plus a selection from every other one. It exists so you never have to buy blind. If you haven’t run your own images through it yet, do that first.
If it won't run on your machine
V3KTR needs WebGPU, and not every machine has it. If you buy and then find it can’t run on your hardware or browser, you get a full refund — no time limit and no questions. That isn’t change of mind, it’s the product not being fit for what you bought it for, and we’re not going to argue about it.
The app tells you up front if WebGPU can’t start, and the free tier will show you it runs before you pay. Use both.
Change of mind
If you buy and it’s simply not for you, email us within 14 days of purchase and we’ll refund you in full. We may ask what didn’t work — that’s product feedback, not an interrogation, and the refund doesn’t depend on your answer.
This is our own policy, offered on top of your legal rights. It is not a limit on them.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
These rights are automatic. Nothing on this page, in our Terms, or anywhere else reduces them — and they aren’t limited to the 14-day window above.
Software is covered by the consumer guarantees, which means V3KTR has to be of acceptable quality, fit for the purpose we described, and match how we described it. If it isn’t:
- For a major failure — you choose the remedy. You can cancel and get a refund, or ask for a replacement. It’s your choice, not ours. A failure is major if you wouldn’t have bought it had you known, or if it’s substantially unfit for purpose and can’t easily be fixed within a reasonable time.
- For a problem that isn’t major, we get a reasonable chance to fix it. If we can’t, or don’t do it in a reasonable time, you can then choose a refund instead.
You may also be entitled to compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss. If you live outside Australia, your local consumer protections apply in the same way — we’re not trying to use distance to shrink them.
How a refund actually happens
Purchases are processed by Polar, our merchant of record, so refunds are issued through Polar back to your original payment method. Email [email protected] and we’ll handle it from our side — you don’t need to chase Polar yourself.
Expect the money to leave our side within a couple of business days, and to land back with you within roughly 5–10 business days depending on your bank. If you’re thinking about a chargeback: talk to us first. It’s faster, and we’d rather just refund you.
Prices are in Australian dollars. If your card was charged in another currency, the refund is the same AUD amount reversed — exchange rates move, so the figure landing in your account may differ slightly from what left it. That difference is your bank’s, not something we’re keeping.
Renewals
A renewal is a separate one-time purchase and this whole page applies to it the same way.
One specific case worth naming: a renewal buys twelve months of new effects, which is a promise about the future. If V3KTR winds down during a renewal period you paid for, we’ll refund the unexpired portion — see Terms for what happens in that situation generally.
The one limit
We may decline a change-of-mind refund where the policy is clearly being used in bad faith — repeated buy-and-refund cycles, for instance. This has never been a problem and it isn’t aimed at anyone acting in good faith. It does not, and cannot, apply to your Australian Consumer Law rights.
